Oblivion

Oblivion, also referred to as infinity, is the unknown region beyond subspace from which nothing is traceable or detectable by any known means. When a warp bubble collapses, such as from spacetime instability or computational failure, anything that was within the bubble, including spacetime itself, is lost forever; the warp trail ends and nothing reemerges. Matter or energy that is pushed outside an active warp bubble from within suffers the same fate.

The details on what oblivion actually is are open for study and debate. Postulations include another dimension or universe, or a different point or time within the same universe. Conservation of matter and energy are commonly cited talking points.

Without further developments, which do not appear to be forthcoming in the near future, oblivion will remain a mystery. However anyone who wishes to solve it for themselves is able to do so, at the cost of being unable to send the answer back.
