Sociology

Humanity has faced countless new obstacles in its quest to colonize space, not just from harsh environments but from each other as well. People exhibit their own diversity, desires, needs, and motives. How groups of people tackle the challenges they face, how they organize their culture, how they obtain and allocate their resources, and how they interact with others are all topics of sociology, which is the study of human interactions. Research within the field attempts to anticipate and coordinate broad-scale social interactions between diverse economies and cultures that may possess contrasting and ever-changing needs. Proactive social engineering projects may attempt to structure a developing culture and its people from the outset to develop it to fit specific guidelines which may prove advantageous in the future.
